Pumpkin for Dogs’ Digestion
Pumpkin is a fantastic source of fibre for dogs. It is known to regulated their bowels, and is very handy to keep on hand for those occasional bouts of diarrhoea or constipation. It can also be used regularly as a healthy supplement.
Just a few tablespoons (no more than 1/2 a cup for large dogs) of pure canned pumpkin in your dog’s meal should help regulate them if they are having digestive issues, or if you just want to give them a good, natural digestive supplement.
If symptoms of diarrhoea last more than 24 hours, you should call your vet, as it may be a more serious issue.
