What is Urban Situation Training?
Urban Situation Training is based around dogs living in the city. We use areas such as dog parks and busy streets to teach your dog about distractions and proper socialization to give you the fastest results in their training. Urban Situation Training combines basic obedience with everyday situations to give you the ideal training for the real world, whilst effectively eliminating common problems like poor recall and leash control. We work with dogs of all ages, breeds and experience levels, with the benefits of private one-on-one training. All training programs are fully customized to suit you and your dog’s needs.
Two Hands, Six Feet uses only positive reinforcement through treats, toys and games, so you and your dog can have fun while learning together! We strive to educate you in how your dog thinks, in order to help you earn your place as the leader of your “pack” and build that life-long bond with your furry best friend.
Common issues we work with are:
Beginners though to advanced obedience training, including puppy classes. Much of our obedience training is done while exposing your dog to various distractions, to ensure you have control in any situation.
On and Off-Leash Control
We can teach your dog to walk calmly without pulling in as little as 10 minutes! We also hold a high standard of off-leash control, from recall at long distances to walking beside you without the use of a leash. We use designated off-leash areas only for any off-leash training.
Behavioural Problem Solving
We strive to overcome bad habits and challenging behaviours by helping you understand how your dog thinks and feels. Common behavioural problems include separation anxiety, reactivity, aggression and possessive behaviours. We use methods that play into your dog’s natural instincts, in order to make you a confident leader, and to reconnect you and your canine companion.
Barking can be a huge problem, especially in apartment buildings and quiet neighbourhoods. We will assess the source of your dog’s barking habit and help you with the rehabilitation process, so you and your canine can live peacefully once again.
