Practical Obedience for the Real World
We offer practical obedience training for dogs of all ages and levels. Much of our obedience training is done while exposing your dog to various distractions to ensure you have control in any situation, which is an advantage over training done in a classroom. All classes are private, allowing us to focus on your dog’s needs. We place a huge importance on off leash control in our obedience classes, and strive to teach your dog to respond to any commands at distances of up to 100ft, in high distraction areas! As part of your lessons you will also learn how to read your dog’s body language, which is an essential part of building a successful relationship.
After a few classes with us, you will feel confident about your dog’s training and ability to listen no matter what!

Creating a Behaviour Management Plan
We strive to overcome bad habits and challenging behaviours by helping you understand how your dog thinks and feels. Common behavioural problems include separation anxiety, reactivity, fear, nuisance barking and possessive behaviours. We will first assess the issues to find the underlying problems and then work with you to correct them using force-free methods that play into your dog’s natural instincts. We will then devise a training management plan to get you on the right track You will also learn to read your dog’s body language, an important step in your dog’s recovery that is often overlooked! Through our one-on-one private sessions you will learn to become the confident leader your dog desires, as we help you reconnect with your canine companion.
Give Your New Puppy the Best Start!
Our private puppy classes will teach you everything you need to know to give your newest family member the best start! Classes can start as soon as you bring your puppy home, or even just before to help you prepare for their arrival. Click here for more information on what to expect from our puppy program.
Private Dog Walks
Dog walks are an add-on service for current training clients. They can be a useful addition to behaviour management and dogs learning leash or social skills. Your dog will get additional one-on-one time with Jo, to ensure faster results. You will also receive updates from Jo following each walk, to help you keep on track with your dog’s progress. Walking clients must be approved by Jo, on completion of initial assessment. See our rates for more information
